Emirates rewards online booking through free flights promotion
Posted date 7/30/2010 10:07:26 AM
biz.lk---Emirates passengers - who book and purchase tickets online for travel originating in Sri Lanka - will have the chance to receive a reward through an exciting new promotion.

Over the six months from 1st August, selected passengers - who book at www.emirates.com/lk - will be presented 140,000 Skywards Miles from Emirates’ frequent flyer programme, as well as two return tickets to Singapore.

At the end of each month Emirates will pick an online booking made in the preceding 30 days. The passenger will either receive one of the free tickets, or 30,000 or 40,000 Skywards Miles, the equivalent of a return flight to Singapore and Dubai respectively.

"Online booking is the most convenient method of booking a flight and our intention is to generate more awareness about the facility among travellers," said Devika Ellepola, Emirates' Sales Manager in Sri Lanka. “This promotion also expresses our appreciation to passengers who have responded to the promotion and booked their travel via our website."

To be eligible to receive one of the rewards, outbound travel in respect of each booking period should be completed by the last day of the month. The promotion ends on 31st January 2011 and applies to adult passengers only.

Emirates’ online booking facility allows passengers to make bookings at any time and from anywhere. Besides the convenience, there are also special online fares, and periodic offers and opportunities to earn extra Skywards Miles by booking online. Additionally, a unique feature - the Miles Accelerator - offers extra miles on specific routes on a month-to-month basis.

The winner of more than 400 major international awards, Emirates operates 21 services a week between Colombo and Dubai, and daily flights to Singapore, making a total of 28 flights a week to and from Sri Lanka. The Emirates network now serves 103 destinations on six continents.
